This page explains what information Griddr collects when you use the site, how it is used, and who it is shared with. Griddr is a puzzle site, not a data business.
Creating a Griddr account is optional. If you do, we collect the email address and password you register with. Passwords are never stored in plain text. If you become a Supporter, payment is handled entirely by Stripe — Griddr never receives or stores your card details.
Puzzle progress is saved in your browser's local storage, and to your account if signed in. We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic, and Google AdSense to show ads that help support the site. Both may set cookies in your browser. AdSense in particular may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can control or clear these cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of personalized advertising through Google's own ad settings.
Griddr does not sell your personal information. It is shared only with the service providers needed to run the site: Firebase (Google) for the account and puzzle database, Stripe for Supporter payments, and Google Analytics/AdSense for site usage stats and ads.
Griddr is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age.
